APPLICATION DESCRIPTION

This is a straight shaped, carbon end effector with upper side covered by a stainless steel plate and the lower side protected with a sheet of adhesive aluminum . It is made by a single layer of 1.5 mm carbon laminate, and replaces a fiberglass original part with protective metallization and a milling for the vacuum.

Basically our part is more durable than the bendable original (fiberglass is less stiff than carbon, and metallization can produce some particle) and it is possible to order a version with micro holes suitable for thin wafer applications.

In this case the teflon pad solution for vacuum in not applied, since the high UV irradiation can damage plastic parts. It is possible to apply a kapton pad, but also in this case the pad duration is not so high and pad replacement must be provided from time to time.
